When I posted that the Indigo was only lightly dyed, a friend of mine who lives in Tokushima Prefecture sent it to me. Thank you so much!<\/p>\n

Indigo, known as Japan blue since the Meiji era (1868-1912), is famous as Tokushima's Awa indigo. Lafcadio Hearn, the famous author of \"Kwaidan (ghost stories),\" who came to Japan in 1890, praised the indigo color, saying, \"Japan is a mysterious blue country.<\/p>\n

I wondered if it would grow in Cambodia, and when I looked it up, I found that the origin of Tadeai (\u84fc\u85cd) is the Indochina Peninsula, so I am hoping that if I grow it patiently, it will adapt to the Cambodian climate again.<\/p>\n

Tadeai itself is said to release an insect repellent gas, so I will mix it in the cotton field along with the insect repellents neem and lemongrass that I have been using. Cotton seeds will be sown soon.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
