Why is it business to turn minefields into cotton fields?

I am not sure if I have answered the questions I receive from many of you, but I have written them down. The budget to remove landmines is decreasing every year. This is due to the fact that the number of landmine fatalities is decreasing. However, there are still millions of landmines remaining. One of the answers to what to do about it was business.

Long rains bring disease, dryness brings insects. Since agriculture destroys nature to a greater or lesser extent, I think it is true that it should be as modest as possible. So it makes sense to try organic farming, linking it to the fact that poor farmers cannot afford to buy pesticides. In the field, I am currently fighting a brown spot disease caused by long rains on neem (Sudau in Cambodia).

Before we knew it, many of you were "liking" and had given us their approval. Thank you very much. I will soon return to the field, although I am so busy that I only have time to be silent during the subway during my furlough. We are very worried about the effects of the torrential rains in the Mekong region, but our Cambodian staff who has been taking care of us in our absence reports that, for the time being, they have not had to cancel all their future plans.
