* The video shows the trial and error process of making a round cord for the handle of a cotton leather bag.
We are currently reviewing all processes from scratch. From the process of gluing tapioca starch to the size of the pulp, we are making fine adjustments.
As part of this process, we have been experimenting with round handles, which was unthinkable before. We have tried wrapping a little wet paper around rattan, or making a U-shape with a wire mesh in the manner of making thin rolls of sushi.
Now we are struggling with the finishing touches. It would be easy if we used a variety of chemicals, but that is the one line we cannot compromise on, so we are hoping to somehow overcome it with techniques from the Edo period or so.
